Innovative Cleaning Technology for the 21st Century

CoGeneration (HRSG) Tubes

TechniClean is having good success cleaning medium pressure and economizer tubes (HRS). The accumulation in the fins, as you know, creates a number of costly difficulties. SOx/NOx level control, exhaust back pressure, tube and fin deterioration, to name a few.

Highpressure water or chemical wash will remove the build up in most cases, but creates extra hazardous waste material and the chemical reaction actively attacks metal surfaces. Compared to either of the above mentioned, our process is much safer and more cost effective. The waste generated on average is 1 to 2 barrels of dry waste material. The amount of waste material obviously depends on how much is on the surface cleaned. CO2 sublimates harmlessly back into the atmosphere and there is no extra waste material generated. Therefore, disposal problems and costs are minimized. Since CO2 is an inert gas there is no chemical reaction with the material removed from the finned tubes or surface of the exhaust stacks.

TechniClean's CO2 pellet blast method is safe and successful in both light and heavy industrial cleaning because we design and build our own equipment. We have not purchased equipment that is designed for light duty applications and tried to misuse it in heavy duty cleaning applications. Our equipment is mobile, therefore we can serve the entire US and Canada.

CO2 Pellet Blasting also works great in other areas of the electrical industry. Examples: Cleaning rotors, stators, end turns, and removing epoxy from stators before rewinding.

EPA, FDA, and USDA approve the CO2 pellet blast cleaning method. It is proven environmentally friendly, NonHazardous, NonToxic, NotPolluting, and NonFlammable

TechniClean has developed over the years successful proprietary methods and procedures for generator cleaning and in these successful proprietary methods and procedures TechniClean utilizes CO2 pellet blast cleaning. TechniClean has found that CO2 blast cleaning by itself is inadequate for cleaning generators or electrical equipment.
