Our current capabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Hydro-blasting (up to 20,000 psi)
- Hot Water Pressure Cleaning
- Wet Sand Blasting, Sand Blasting
- Chemical Cleaning and CO2 Blast Cleaning
TechniClean has used the dry ice blasting to clean HRSG-LP sections. Our success rate was great with small two to four tube bundles, where the up and down stream could be cleaned. Larger bundles with several rows of tubes are not as easily cleaned due to the dry ice cleaning being a “line OF sight” process.
TechniClean introduced a Chemical Cleaning process for the larger bundles in 2007 and had great success with this newer approach. The Chemical Cleaning process removes all the acid buildup extending the life of the tube bundles. Chemical Cleaning of the HP and LP boiler bundles is cost effective, by not only extending bundle life but removing the acid buildup. The back pressure is reduced; therefore, the power source uses less fuel. Steam and generation output is increased, which in turn increases sales of the steam and megawatts. The increase of one megawatt per hour for a year would pay for the cleaning cost several times. One megawatt increase per hour would generate approximately $ 650,000 of sales at 8.5 cents per kilowatt. It is possible to increase megawatt output on some cogen power units two to three megawatts using the Chemical Cleaning process.
We furnishe all pumps, tanks and hoses plus containment units. The waste stream is small and easy to handle.
TechniClean™ also uses no harsh chemicals in the process, therefore avoiding added environmental concerns. It is our customer’s responsibility for waste disposal, but this is limited due to only the removed acid buildup being the waste.
